We think of design not as a single practice, but as several interlocking ones. Designs are inseparable from taste and opinion yet commercial design is also inseparable from business requirements. Improving human interaction and effectiveness of communication is a key goal of any of our projects. Aesthetic movements come and go, but we have found some principles to be timeless (seriously - study Dieter Rams’ work and you will see what we mean) .
As partners in your vision, we strive for honesty and clarity. Our first job is to understand your vision and needs and not to present our own. We value timeliness, direct communication and prototypes over presentations, as well as the occasional face-to-face meeting over a drink or a meal.
Over the years, we have been fortunate to collaborate with some excellent clients on some wonderful projects, but we believe the success of the work is in the ability to continuously improve upon the current status. A web site design exists in time and its usefulness is directly related to how well it continues to perform commercially.
We are proud of our Scandinavian heritage [1], but do not consider ourselves exponents of purely these forms of design. In the end our design must first and foremost be suited to YOUR needs.
